The activation ceremonies are recorded elsewhere in these col umns, but no reporting can do full justice to the general’s remarks. It was a soldier’s talk to soldiers and was meant as such, but we will always regret that hundreds of thousands of civilians throughout the length and breadth of our country did not have the privilege of listening. It was not so much what he said —we’ve all heard much the same in various modification — but the simple, forceful way in which he said it that commands not only respect but some deep thinking as well. It is our conviction—a conviction as deep and sincere as the general's —that with such officers to lead, the American soldier will always stand supreme. Greetings, soldier! The Camp Adair Sentry is now a member of the Camp Adair per- aonnel. This induction was made possible by Col. Gordon H. McCoy, camp commander, whose letter to this effect was published in these col umns last week. HOWDY, BUDDIE!
